CBC to re-broadcast highlights of World Cup

If you were too busy to catch the athletes in action at the World Cup, you’re in luck. CBC Television will be re-broadcasting highlights from the ISU World Cup Short Track 2008/2009 event on Saturday, November 1 at 12:00 pm (Pacific Time). Be sure to tune in!

Be sure to check out the latest short track speed skating podcast. Filmed at the recent 2008 fall World Cup short track speed skating selections at the Pacific Coliseum, host Beth Hornby talks to members of the Canadian short track team to learn more about the sport as well as the athletes competing on this year's World Cup circuit.

Volunteer Profiles

With close to 150 of the world’s best short track speed skaters participating, the Samsung World Cup Short Track 2008/2009 event will be a thrilling competition to watch. But beyond the on-ice excitement, it will also be a great opportunity to build friendships with volunteers from all across Canada.

No one knows this better than Antonio Faiola. His passion for short track speed skating has seen him travel the globe in an effort to give back to a sport he loves.
