Volunteer Recruitment

The success of the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals event relies on the many dedicated volunteers from across British Columbia and Canada. Volunteering is a great way to support Canadian athletes, meet new people and gain volunteer experience for major sporting events.

Volunteers of all skill levels are needed to fill a variety of roles, including field of play, event services, transportation and customer service roles. By participating in a Sport Event, volunteers will gain valuable experience working at the venues where the 2010 Winter Games will be held. This experience will be a valuable asset when being considered for a Games-time role.

Completing your volunteer application form

If you’re interested in volunteering in the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals event, you will be asked to fill out an online Vancouver 2010 Games-time volunteer application form. When completing this application form, remember to:

  • choose “yes” to Sport Events under Availability and Preferences
  • select Sport – Alpine Skiing (para) as one of your three preferences
  • tell us as much as you can about your skills and interests under Volunteer and Work Experience

Once you’ve completed and submitted your online Vancouver 2010 Games-time volunteer application form, you will be given access to On Your Mark, a volunteer portal where you can find information and regular updates on your volunteer application and journey. Volunteers will be selected based on individual skills, experience, availability and areas of interest. Once we begin assessing volunteer applications, candidates will be selected and can expect to undergo a phone interview, security clearance, an in-person interview and training.
